You've Got A Great Face For Radio
February 2, 2007
There's a good reason why A Prairie Home Companion is a radio program and not made for the screen. I haven't sat through a more rambling, sentimental film than Garrison Keillor's movie version of his now-legendary radio show in ages. The experience made me wish a large Texas corporation would come and yank him and his simpering cohorts off stage. If this film is meant to raise the profile of NPR in this mass media-drenched country, then I think it does quite the opposite. Labels: Blog
