Being on the Receiving End

A rather rambling but essentially complimentary review of San Francisco Renaissance Voices’ concert in Berkeley on Saturday night appeared in San Francisco Classical Voice today. It’s odd being on the receiving end of a critique for once. I wish music reviews weren’t always blow-by-blow accounts of concerts, as in “first X happened, then they sang Y, then they followed up with Z etc.” Pretty monotonous writing.
